i took quite a few pictures last night of myself. i felt. odd. and the whole concept made me think: am i posing? or am i learning about how to use the timer thing and how to guess on angles and where to put the camera down etc? of all the pictures that i did end up taking, i liked the ones where my head was chopped out.

I have yet to do any self portraits.....I'm too self conscious I think?!
it is rather disconcerting to take pictures of oneself. my friend Mike told me once that it'll help me with camera angle, lighting, using camera equipment (like tripods) etc. i don't have any special stuff, but i know the importance of making sure the camera is steady. i also recently just got braces so maybe this will also teach me to smile around the metal grill! :)
i love this...it reminds of those candy ads (i think it was candy shoes?) i used to see in rolling stone....
