after happy hour in DC, taking the metro home is the smartest way. $20 all you can drink?!? thank goodness for public transportation and the hour long sobering ride back to my car. :)

These are FANTASTIC! I have tried some blurred photos in the subway from time to time, but none have turned out as fabulously as these. What was your technique?
Elk - thanks! normally i hate the metro due to my motion sickness but it was much safer form of transportation.
Elizabeth - i don't think i have a technique. my camera is a point/shoot so what i did was i played around with the flash and the way the stations are set up in DC is that when there's an incoming train, the lights along the pathway lights up. when the lights came up, i pretty much plopped down on the floor and pointed my camera in the direction the train was going to be. i *tried* to focus but due to the dark, it was kinda hard. right as the train showed up into view, i clicked away. there was a delay in shutter, my hands were shaking, i was excited and due to the motion, it all came out blurry. i would say i took about 10 pix in the tunnel so i chose these two shots.
